The public will be provided with an opportunity to provide official public comments during the development of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed Nogales Interconnection Project. DOE invites interested members of Congress, state and local governments, other Federal agencies, American Indian tribal governments, organizations, and members of the public to provide comments on the Draft EA during the public comment period, which will begin with the publication in the Federal Register of a Notice of Availability of the Draft EA and will continue for 30 days. The Draft EA is posted to the Documents page. All comments received or postmarked by the close of the public comment period will be considered by DOE in preparing the Final EA. Comments received or postmarked after that date will be considered to the extent practicable.

After the Draft EA is published, hardcopies or CDs of the files may be obtained from Melissa Pauley and are also available for review at the Nogales City/Santa Cruz County Library in Nogales, Arizona.
